A Night With Leonard Cohen. Almost.

Went to see this guy this evening in Deal this evening, which was him singing (mainly) Leonard Cohen songs. I don't really know much about Cohen - though it turned out I knew more of his songs than I thought, albeit from cover versions. It was a nice evening, the theatre was done up as a club and was lit beautifully, and a singer called Louise who joined him on stage had a beautiful voice.

One thing that does annoy me about the Astor Theatre though, is that they will keep allowing people to come in when the performance has started. It's really irritating for performer and audience - you could plainly see that Keith was knocked off his stride a little when some people came in half an hour after he'd started. People continually walking out to the bar or loo doesn't help either - plus there was a chorus of mobile phones at one point. Maybe I've just spent too long in London where there's a bit more respect for performers.
