Sunset over Malham Tarn

We made it just in time to catch a rare November sunset over the tranquil Malham Tarn in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The day's sunshine was very unexpected, given that this time last year we were submerged in snow, and unable to go very far from home. Not wishing to let such an opportunity escape us, we spent the first half of the afternoon at Gordale Scar, a spectacular waterfall just 1 mile outside Malham, and then made our way to the Tarn after a hearty lunch. We were not disappointed!
