A Day at the Races

Today was a long day out for us.

The BF is a Horse Racing fan, but had never been to Ascot, he prefers Jump racing to the Flat races and today Ascot held a series of jump races.

A local Coach firm runs all sort of day trips and today they were going to the Ascot race meeting so we went along with them.

I have never seen such a superbly built place, a massive grandstand that caters for all people no matter how much they paid for their tickets, unlike many other Racing Tracks.

This pic was taken next to the parade ring up at the back of the stand, it was like standing next to an Ocean Liner.

The weather was superb, the facilities were superb, the Bus driver really got a wiggle on to get us there and home.

And did I win........

.. of course I did, I came home up on the day, just like the BF did. :-)
