Kite

I like the layering in this. It is 21kms from where I took the shot at Leighton Beach to Rottnest Island in the far distance and many kms separation between the elements.

A kind of paradox in a way...one is powered just by wind energy and will do so forever, the other probes for the energy we use most and is finite.

There were many kites out taking advantage of the strong wind late in the day. I liked this shot of the single kite through hazy light and it looked even better when converted to B+W and tinted.
