Geocaching

Half day at work today and had planned to hit the gym as I skipped it yesterday.

However as it was such a nice day thought that a good walk with the dogs would be better.

Thing is, kids find this boring, just walking. The youth of today want to be touching screens, shooting things and clicking mouses.

Holly doesn't want to go, she says if she has to go that she wants to go to the horses field and feed the ponies.

So we drop off Ruby at the mother in laws and go on a geocaching treasure hunt as a compromise.

We start with one I had already found on Thursday so Holly knows what to look for.

She is seriously impressed with this game and before we know it she is marching off to find the next one with my iPhone in her hand following the little compass. She has got her welly boots on and is giving it a 100 percent Dora the Explorer.

We find our second cache full of goodies and she takes an item and leaves behind her best school rubber. Nice one.

She is now on a mission and we are half way towards our third when the battery dies except so does Holly's enthusiasm and her ability to walk.

Daddy carries her most of the way home.
