Poppy.....

What a stunning day today! 18 degrees and real shorts weather, although it's dropped off to not very much above zero tonight. Rain forecast for tomorrow - which we do need! - so it looks like an indoorsy kind of a day coming up.

On the way home from a meeting this morning I found a couple of beds of the most beautiful, colourful poppies at the gateway to a local park. Blip overkill!!

I may go back in a few days as there were a lot of unopen buds which look like they could well create a stunning carpet of colour when they do open. Unless the forecast rain wrecks them first!
