Loopy Lupin
Lupin, often spelled lupine in North America, is the common name for members of the genus Lupinus in the family Fabaceae. The genus comprises between 150-200 species, and has a wide distribution in the Mediterranean region.
So, its official, West Lothian is Mediterranean :-)
BTW - they are purple - but if I increase the exposure then it completely blows out the sky ... and I quite like it like this!
Other Lupins:
* Lúpin is a small comic book (historieta) from Argentina by Guillermo Guerrero and Héctor Mario Sidoli. The hero's name, Lúpin, is "looping" spelled in Spanish.
* In the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing game, the lupin is a humanoid with a dog-like appearance. Sages believe them to be a result of crossbreeding between humans and gnolls. They are intelligent and productive craftsmen and are friendly towards most races.
* Lupin is an upcoming primetime TV series in the Philippines. It is loosely based on the original French version of the series entitled "Arsène Lupin," which is already a classic.
* Remus John Lupin (aka Moony) is a character in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004).
