Punctures - three

A great day of cycling that started pretty badly, first Nick had a puncture before even leaving the Meadows, then just before the Dalkeith I snapped a spoke on the front wheel. The plan was ride to Innerleithen then along the Tweed Cycle way to Berwick Upon Tweed. So a snapped spoke is not something I fancy riding 100 miles with. SO back to The Bicycle Works in town and I bought a new wheel.

Plans changed and off we went again, so we rode via Gifford, with a few punctures on the way, damn those thorn hedges. After Gifford we had a bit of a climb at 17% to get Longformarcus, what a great route.

We rolled into Berwick just as darkness fell and found the hostel, The Hide-away Hostel. It is a great wee place.

Curry, a couple of beers and then bed.
