Wedding Weekend III : Parting
Time to pack up and leave, and grab a snap or two of the building. This is some of the plasterwork above the main hall. The hostel staff cleaned the main rooms, so we were only responsible for the downstairs areas, and with plenty people busy, the glasses and crockery all got cleaned and tided away. We did our bit and took away some of the empties for recycling. A little odd that the kitchen was full of exhortations to recycle, recycle, recycle and yet there were no provisions for recycling provided. 'There are recycling bins in Balloch', they said. You would have thought they could do something at the hostel to collect bottles and cans. The journey home seemed much quicker, partly as we weren't contending with the Friday evening traffic, but probably also due to the phenomena whereby the journey 'there' always seems longer when it's unfamiliar than the journey 'back' when it has become familiar. Should do a bit of unpacking and tidying, but just fancy a cup of tea.
