Over recent months Jerry seemed to have lost his get up and go, he is twelve now and that horrible thought, you know the one, had begun to creep into my thoughts.
He had been staying close by on longer walks, not running around on the beach as usual and not getting up to greet us when we went in the kitchen so I took him to the vets for an MOT last week. He declared to be in fantastic form for his age and the vet was impressed he still looked like a lean machine. His creaky elbow joints were the only thing 'wrong' so some anti inflammatories were prescribed. I've to phone the surgery mid week to update them on his progress and I'll be delighted to part with more cash for his meds as it would seem his va va voom is back!

He belted round the woods yesterday, he ran circles round us on the beach today and barked repeatedly demanding the ball be thrown again and again and again. He was really quite irritating, fantastic!! :-)
