Constant companion...............
I didn't venture any further than the bottom of the garden today, i spent most of the day cleaning the pond filters, and i was kept company by this guy for most of that time.
Bigger companion here......
He seemed to be quite happy chirping and hopping about within a couple of feet of me, while at the other end of the garden the squirrel plundered the nuts and sunflower seeds.......
Talking about the squirrel, the peanut feeder is about 5 feet away from the branches of one of our mountain ashes. Obviously all the leaves have dropped now, but there's still a lot of berries to be had.
On three occasions that i witnessed today, a Blackbird has landed on the branches of the mountain ash to eat some berries, and on three occasions the squirrel has launched himself at the mountain ash from the peanut feeder to chase away the Blackbird.........
While, i do like having the squirrel in the garden, i'm not particularly happy about him chasing away the blackbird, and hogging the peanut feeder detering any birds that may fancy a nibble........If thats not bad enough, the little sod's been burying nuts all over the garden, it's looking like a "T" area on a golf course...........!!
Thanks for looking.
