Days 23, 24, 25 and 26

Friday 28th October:
Today we sorted things out in the day and then this evening we opened up the club for some of the rangers. It was really good fun actually. Emma, Hein, Kyle, Justin, Siseko, Stacey and myself were there. We stayed there until about 2.30. We had a few drinks and put some music on and it was nice to spend some time getting to know them and hanging out. When we eventually came home Stacey and I ended up sat in the lounge chatting for another hour or so, which was really lovely.

Saturday 29th October:
There was no cricket on today so I had a lie in, the first one I've had since I've been here. Then this afternoon some people came to have a barbeque at the club and to watch the Curry Cup (Rugby) Final. Then when they left Stacey and I came and got ready as we were going to a party at the Patterson pub this evening. It was a Halloween party, so we dressed up. I have a blue cheque shirt with me so I wore that and jeans and Stacey lent me a cowboy hat and Stacey dressed up as a cat. I've never been to a Halloween party before, but it was a good excuse to get to know people and there wasn't really the same culture about it as there is in the UK. Girls weren't dressed really provocatively, there weren't many people dressed as anything very Halloween like... There were a few, but it was to be silly rather than scary. I got to talk to some of the other people from the reserve and the surrounding reserves as well so it was nice. We played pool for a while and the boys were surprised that I could actually play... When we got back we were just having a drink and something to eat before going to bed when we saw some of the lights at the club flashing. So Stacey called the Amakhala Anti-Poaching guys to come and have a look for us. When they came they said that there was a power failure between two of the points which was causing it and it was all fine. By the time they had been and checked it was about 5.30 in the morning, when we saw the lights we went into Stacey's room and locked the door. So Stacey gave me some pajamas and I slept in her bed with her instead, because we had scared ourselves.

Sunday 30th October:
We slept until about 9.30 and then got up got some coffee and layed on Stacey's bed and watched CSI. We ate at lunchtime and then I went and layed on my bed and slept and watched programmes on my laptop.

Monday 31st October:
Today we did admin type things, I was writing up the drugs from Will's vet call outs onto the drug register and then did some filing. Nothing very exciting.
