Brassic

........Or in this case 'brassicas!'

Mr F has been busy doing work all weekend so I decided to go for a late afternoon stroll to get some fresh air. I had a little diversion, looking for something to blip! This was it I'm afraid, a field of brassicas, not very exciting but it has resulted in a little research. By looking up the title of my blip (with thanks to ma & pa) I discovered that the term 'brassic' is derived from the rhyming slang boracic lint (prononced 'brassic') which was a medical dressing made from surgical lint that had been soaked in boracic acid & glycerine.......Well I never, you learn something new everyday!
