Reunion Dinner

It's the eve of Chinese New Year-- reunion dinner with the family.

Hawker stalls, coffeeshops, boutiques, companies, supermarts among many other establishments either close by the afternoon, or are not opened at all today.

My aunt whipped up yet another "sedap!" (Malay for "delicious") meal this evening.. she does it every year, and I'm grateful for that.. at least with the 5 of us together, reunion dinners aren't such lonely affairs..

Later at home, I was quite upset.. think it was the build-up of minor events in one whole day when it finally reached my threshold. Had quite a long talk with my bro and perhaps, perhaps what he said has some truth: that it may be because during such festivities period, we start to think more about our mum...
