Confuzzled

I tried to tell a newly budded AudreyII* that it's WINTER, and sprouting at this point is more than a little silly - but it doesn't appear to care. In fact, another AudreyII has appeared. What the -?
I could understand any confuzzledness if it had been unseasonably warm, but we've had frost and sleet and very little sun.

I told them they are crazy.
They told me to stop putting googly eyes on them.
