Bits around the house

Today's easy job is to make a couple of bits of triangles to fill up a triangular gap in the bit that goes over the front door, some overhang thing. Anyway, what is in the gap doesn't look very good, and it's another thing I'm turning my hand to.

In the middle is the hateful saw. I hate this thing. Evil thing. Two bits of wood made to the right dimensions (they aren't actually triangles), and this is them with a bit of white paint drying. Got to do the other side in a few minutes. Apparently carpenter bees (more like big wasps) hate wood that's painted, hence doing both sides. Plus, it's easier to paint them on the ground than when they are mounted.

Haven't collected Dog yet (the new (old) pickup) which is slightly concerning as that'll need some fettling before it gets pushed into use, and time is starting to march on - really do need an old pickup in the very near future as damned if i'll haul crap around in the Smart.
