The Big Switch On

Today was the day that the festive lights were switched on in Aberdeen. I took the boys out to see them and the parade which sets them all on. We got into town early to get a good vantage point in which we secured on the steps of the Music Hall so that we would be above the pavement and that the boys could see clearly.

While waiting on the parade to start I had a few run ins with adults barging in and standing in front of the boys. Needless to say that I won my arguments hands down and even had the backing of other parents around me too.

The boys thoroughly enjoyed themselves watching the cars, trucks, bikes, pipe bands and street entertainers. It wasn't that cold either which has been a change from previous years when it had been bitterly cold. This is just one of the light displays that hang above Union Street.
