Basking in the Sunlight

At 9:00 o'clock I was out the door for my morning hike. It was quite cold and the thermometer gave a reading of 25 degrees fahrenheit. Brrr! I decided to walk to a hiking trail near my house rather than drive. Portland has had a significant amount of rain the last few days and I was concerned the roads would be icy. Pleased I made that decision as I encountered a significant amount of black ice on the road (I fell down a few times). Once on the hiking trail, the sun began ever so slowly revealing itself and I was none to happy! I snapped this picture of sun rays filtering through the trees. It reminded me of a quote by the Buddha.

Three things cannot be long hidden: the sun, the moon, and the truth.
