Prepare for Winter

The council leaflet says that I must prepare for winter.
I'm ready.

We adopted this lantern on one of our many rental accomodation moves. It had been abandoned, we felt sorry for it.
I have no idea whether it is original or not. If so, where was it used - indoors, outdoors? Was it used for searching lost sheep, waving down trains?
