The Challenge Day 2/30
Hit or Miss?
This is another place that I always drive past on my way to and from work and has been tucked away in my blip bank for weeks now. I had the image pre-visualised in my head since yesterday when I decided to do the only 3 shots per day for my blip image.
After finishing with Spanish class, which again I had to use my deciphering skills due to failing to do the prep work prior to class, I headed straight for this place confidently armed with my camera and tripod. I knew the exposure would be tricky to get right but 3 shots should be enough and with the help of my tripod, I can go to the extreme with aperture stopped down to at least f/10 to get that starburst effect on the street lights and use slow shutter speed. My tripod however had other ideas. The camera connector was missing!!! O M G!!! Of all days for this to happen! I already had one challenge to deal with and as much as I boast of being able to deal with more challenges on top of each other, that's all talk!!! Grrrr........
So there I was in the dark with my camera and a tripod that was practically useless! I had to make a quick decision, take the pre-visualised image (or a version of it) or go home defeated. :( :( :(
Well, i'm not really one to bow my head in defeat so I decided to just suck it up and take the dang photo! Luckily, there was a couple just walking down the pathway which kinda made up for the missing tripod connector. So after 3 shots, I packed up and eagerly went home to appease the growling monster that was my tummy.
Geez, whatever made me decide to do this? I really need to stop making rash decisions when i'm not completely sober ;(
