Auschwitz

Whilst in Krakow we went to visit Auschwitz. I'm not going to get political but there are 2 things to say;

1. 1.5 million died there - that's 1,500,000 people.

2. It's true that at the Birkenau site it is absolutely silent. No birds or anything.

This gateway is the one that all of the trains passed through and is known as the gate of death.
