It's your fault the train is late

Number nine in my series of vintage British Rail posters currently exposed at richmond Station. See number eight here.

This poster must date from before the button operated doors came in and the old slam-door trains disappeared from Richmond. they never thought about how replacing those trains would remove this excuse for when the train was late - it's much harder now for them to blame the passenger (sorry, customer). However, I can remember seeing a train pulling out of the station with a door flapping open and the platform despatcher sticking out a boot to slam it shut as the train picked up speed. So I guess this poster did have a point.
