Waiting

Went for a quick coffee with a colleague after work to the coffee house I was in on Saturday with husband and younger son.

Then, it was crackling with chat and busy barista sound effects and chairs scraping the floor and trays/cups/plates being placed rapidly on tables. Great coffee, great atmosphere.

This evening, it was a quiet, relaxed, slow-paced joint with plenty of old chairs waiting for customers. Perfect for after work.

Good cafes have this ability to feel right in both phases of the 'busy-ness cycle'.
