Operation Christmas Child

A notice at work alerted me to Operation Christmas Child:

Take one shoebox.

Decide if it's for a boy or a girl.

Buy small gifts to fill the box (this one contains a powerball, a wind-up space robot, a pencil with an alien on the top, a toothbrush with a crocodile on it, felt-tip pens and a coloured paper pad).

Make a donation for postage and print out your unique barcode.

Deliver it to the lovely lady in sales who's collating all the shoeboxes in the office.

At Christmas, a child may not receive any other presents will open the one I've packed.

It's a brilliant idea and it was great fun filling that box with goodies. Using the barcode, I'll know where in the world the box will find itself.
