Signs of fall

So I've already broken a Blipfoto rule on my first entry. I took this photo two days ago. I signed up a while ago and have taken several photos and then never put them up because the day had passed and I didn't get to it. I need to break this cycle, so I'm putting up the photo I took on Saturday to get the process started, and then I will properly get in the groove.

I had a really crummy week and woke up Saturday feeling really antsy. I knew I needed to get out and play and work out my stress. I went rockhounding in several spots about an hour and a half from my house. This photo was taken on the Chehalis river. I was wandering around looking for the great river agate I'd heard about and spotted this almost perfect leaf. I didn't find much agate, but came home with some interesting conglomerate and some jasper from this spot. Some carnelian chips and a small but pretty piece of petrified wood from another spot.

Tomorrow my goal is to get out and photograph something and post it. Which could be interesting since a big rain and wind storm is supposed to be coming in.
