Sock Monkey Dusk

I spent the day getting ready for the 25th Thanksgiving in my house. The holidays have evolved always meant that the dining room has to be spotless, complete with an ironed tablecloth , polished silver and crystal stemware that throws off light. The idea is to set the perfect stage for the happy mayhem that will surely ensue. (insert imagination here)

I'm thankful for my blessings, but setting up for the holidays becomes more of an effort with each passing year. I'm pulling it together for the generational memories but today I'd much rather be in the stores trying on funky sock monkey hats. I caught the sky on my way home from the mall.
