Head in the trees

After a hectic weekend I took it easy today - pottering around the house, some cross stitching & a trip to the laundrette.

In the evening I worked for an X-Factor winner whom I'd never heard of but the audience loved him and that's the main thing.

What I did enjoy was being asked to help at a talk for about half an hour. Sir Clive Gillinson, Executive and Artistic Director, Carnegie Hall, New York was speaking about culture & was not only interesting but has made me think about a lot of stuff in my life.

I would have loved to have gone for a pint with him to hear more of his stories about Rostapovic or "Lenny" as in Bernstein but the rest if my evening at work beckoned.
