We've run out of superglue
On a trip to Lyttleton to see my friend Jean-Pierre you have to drive 12 km through earthquake country. You get over to Lyttleton and you notice the similar devastation as Christchurch, the only difference being there is not much flat land -it's all hillsides....except for the Port itself. Most of the quakes have been centered under Lyttleton or close to it. Thirteen months on and this is what we have holding up most of Lyttleton hillsides... we are superglueing Christchurch and we have
concrete bags holding up Lyttleton.
As I type this out, again I feel another quake...this one you could hear coming from Lyttleton...amazing feeling!!! Just a little one thank goodness, but enough to keep the heart pumping.
