The Calm

Went to my Dad's Neurology appointment for his Parkinsonisms with my Mom and brother today. He is such a trooper. The perfect patient. His new neurologist is so good with him and takes the time with all of us... she doesn't look a day over 16 (no kidding!). A fine physician she is. Dad always has a joke for her or something humorous to say. Today he offered to help name her baby girl due in March...

"Batler Harris!"... a favored name of a co-worker of his from years ago.

Now THAT got the doctor laughing!

She said she'd put it on the list... he said, "move it to the top!"

This obviously never worked with my Mother. None of us are named "Batler Harris"!

...and all 11 of us thank you, Mom.


Book club tonight.
There was food .
There was wine.
We even discussed a book.
Well... those that finished it did.
