Science prizes

Tonight I attending the Royal Society Prize for Science books. I missed my morning train because I was wearing girlie shoes and underestimated the time it would take me to totter to the station - tch! Then, in the evening, a group of us caught a taxi to the event where we met up with the author and illustrator (and the illustrator's one-year-old son, who was an angel) of the book we'd worked on. There were quite a few famous faces, two of which are in the photo: Robert Winston and Lord Rees.

A nice night - we didn't win, but there's always next year. Some ladies had fantastic shoes!
