Straight to the Point

It's awfully difficult to to remain sympathetic to patients whilst they try to tell you their life story. It must be SO boring in hospital as a patient, and I can very well understand the sheer desperate need for some form of social interaction. When you're on the clock as a student trying to take a history from someone, however, you don't really need to know the ins and outs of her next door's love affair.

I can't ever imagine being a GP and having to take a comprehensive history in seven minutes, especially seeing as our time today was about an hour and a half...
