Really nice to see so much blue today, fleeting though it was to actually get out and about in it.

Looking at the sky here, and the lack of any real cold weather so far this winter, it's hard to imagine it's almost a year since our part of the motorway system came to a complete standstill due to the first heavy snow*. No snow today, but according to various frustrated colleagues the same motorway network was almost at the a standstill earlier due to a combination of roadworks/breakdowns/accidents. Now, if the snows do come soon...

Our place had an open day event today (see above). The day after the news broke that two students have TB. That'll draw the crowds in.

*Looking through the picture archives earlier and I found a shot I took around midnight on the 24th November that shows the first flurry of snow covering the ground.
