Testing the new anchor

Spent a rainy day in the boat shed.

One thing that seemed easier than expected was testing how the new anchor would sit on the boat. One of the businesses in the shed is going to make a metal 'guard' to make sure the tip of the anchor doesn't damage the hull and a U-shaped piece + pin for fixing it firmly on the deck and then, hey ho, it will all hopefully work a treat next season. Oh, I nearly forgot, the local engineering business is going to fix the anchor shackle.

Meanwhile, there was more menial keel scraping and locker washing and painting for the crew to get on with.
