Finch

Lovely day today. My brother visited Rotterdam and we spent a part of the day looking for a telelens. My brother is an enthusiastic bird watcher and likes very much to picture them.

After some hours wandering through the city to places where the photoshops are, he finally found a lens of his liking. A 300mm tele and a teleconverter 2x.

Afterwards we held a kind of contest in the backyard. Who sees a bird and is able to picture it. I have to admit that he was the best. Within 10 minutes he pictured a great tit, two finches and a woodpecker. The last one not only sitting on a branch but also in flight! Wow!

I did not go beyond a simple picture of a finch, a female finch, on a branch ... ;)
