Glasgow City Mission

Thought that Glasgow's so called 'financial services district' might make for some interesting blips this week.

This street is fairly near my office block, and in fact just around the corner from the Scottish Government's main building in Glasgow.

I think its a good example of how in bigger cities like Glasgow there are a lot of contrasts. Here you can see (if you can read backwards) the Glasgow City Mission, which offers help and warmth to folk who need it.

Although it may seem like you are looking in on difficult times, one of the things I like about this building is that the windows are big and bright, and the ground floor usually full of people having a cuppa and a chat.
