French Street, Southampton

I spent some time today investigating buildings in the area. I used this one as my blip for today - not for photographic reasons but because I found it strange. As I walked up the road (on the opposite side to the house) I noticed the two little dogs, then as I drew level I saw the old gentleman. In spite of odd people about I never saw him move or speak to the dogs who were not on leads but remained where they were. The one facing appeared to be watching me as I took the photo but that was all. Maybe they sit there every day but it was very strange. As I walked down the side road opposite I turned round and they were still there.

I have lived in Southampton for 46 years but I am now learning so much about the old buildings and history and its so interesting.
