The Judean Hills
These are the Judean Hills outside of Jerusalem on the way to the Dead Sea. In the very bottom of the photo to the right, there is a Bedouin community. This could be one household or possibly more. Bedouin usually have sheep and goats and I have always wondered how they keep them alive is such a barren environment.
I love it so much, living in Jerusalem, one the one hand, in the dead of winter, you can travel for forty-five minutes and go swimming in the Dead Sea or you can get your skis out and within a couple of hours be skiing on Mount Hermon in the North of the country. I used to love to go hiking in the Ein Gedi Mountain range on the first of January when I was younger. The temp there would be a lovely 70 F or 21 C usually a beautiful day.
It was a very busy day today but had the opportunity to grab this shot along with another fifty to go with it.
