I ended up going for a long walk at lunchtime...

After the comment from Meles yesterday, I thought I would go and look for William Cobbett in the churchyard. I didn't find him (wasn't quite sure where to look). But I did notice a footpath leading out of the far corner of the churchyard. I followed it and ended up at the far end of Farnham, at the Farnham Town Football Club, which I never even knew existed before today...
