Pressure

Today is the third day of steady hard rain; we both rode our bikes today and now at home the bathroom is filled with dripping bike togs, but we are warm and dry with a pot of soup on and salad ready.

These are a new and a used brush, the latter began its life like the former in shape. Painter's work hard is all I know, and I guess it is true that I do not have a light touch! I spent the three wet days in the studio and now have 12 new 36"x32" canvases all stretched for starting 2012 work - next is the layers of gesso - I figure 48 layers total as I build it in thin sanded layers. Actually I find this preparation process relaxing.
