'yes, but is it *art*?'
i don't these kids much care whether the crown fountain, in the millennium park in chicago, is art or not - when it's 95F and there's not a cloud in the sky, it's a glorious way of cooling off! i was tempted to join in, but a lack of dry clothes headed the list of reasons why not. sod's law that my last day was the most beautiful of my stay in the city, lovely blue skies in the backdrop of every photo and everyone out and about and happy. chicago is a great city (even without an ole at your side) and i'll definitely be back - maybe when it's not so hot and sunny, to make sure i see a couple of the fab-sounding museums!
overall i took about 600 pix on this trip, yet only a handful of people - i really must try harder, but somehow people don't draw my eye in the same way that objects and landscapes do. i like to lurk and snatch shots unseen, like these kids, but portraits... not so much. maybe i should try a week of only people and force myself! perhaps in the summer, when the festivals are in full swing and i can't see edinburgh's beauty for the hoardes (and hoardes) of people.
