Today I was meant to be Christmas shopping, trouble is I had a mental block as soon as I got into town and couldn't think what to buy for anyone.

I did get my daughter an advent calendar from Hotel Chocolat, a little extravagant, but I have got my son a Lego Star Wars advent calendar so I had to get her a good one.

I also nipped into Cath Kidston, but I can't bring myself to pay full price for anything in there when the shops at Biscester & Portsmouth do such good deals.

I'm sure that a lot of my Christmas shopping will be done on the internet this year, far less stressful.

The photo is of the soldiers on their way back to the barracks after the changing of the guard at the castle. They must have been roasting in their coats as it's really mild outside today.
