I got home from school and the first thing i said to mum was, "there is gonna be a really good sunset tonight, look at those clouds!"

They were beautiful and really hard to describe.. But it kinda reminded me of foam left on the beach by the tide.. All in different little patches.

I took this picture just in case there was a bad sunset. So I was sitting at the computer, uploading this picture and mum, on the phone, waved her arms around until I looked at her and then pointed out the window. I got up and saw the foam clouds stained red. I got up and ran outside onto the deck.

Usually I run down the road to where there are no houses to get sunset photos, because I like the effect of the mountains and the sun streaming out from behind them.

So.. I thought this one still maintained my sunset theme for today. The flower only stays open while the sun is up. There are about 6 or 7 flowers on this plant and this was the one opened the most. The rest were pretty much closed.


If anyone can tell me the name of this flower it would be greatly appreciated.
