Taking it easy in Zochimilco
After the excesses of Friday & Saturday, both myself and Sandra were feeling very tender and delicate. So we did what most people of a certain age do when they have a Bank Holiday - head to a garden centre!!
Oh the excitement! We have a lovely terrace here and it really is crying out for some sprucing-up. However, our last attempt to grow anything just resulted in the slow, protracted, torturous death of the plants that we both.
So, this time around we intend to take better care and make better choices with the plants/shrubs/whatever that we buy.
Wandering around in sweltering heat wasn't doing much for our collective hangovers, so we didn't stay too long, but got some good ideas about the things we might do.
I particularly liked these cabbage-esque plants, which are hardy and don't need much care apparently. Sounds just about right.
Rest of the day was spent lounging around, taking it very easy. Watched Attack The Block, which was a much more straightforward, irony-free, teenage, semi sci-fi flick, than I was expecting. It's creator being one half of the wildly funny Adam & Joe.
In other words not very good at all.
