Low Light ~ By the Light of the Silvery Car...
There's not much to say about tonight's blip.
When I left work it was a crappy, wet, cold and windy night so my plans for my last autumn leaf shot of the year would have to wait.
When I arrived home, it was a crappy, cold and windy night so I took full advantage of the glorious conditions to have a wander.
I pass this yard every time I head into town and have photographed it before, but never used the shot. On the left side is this double garage with a pair of interesting doors, one wooden and one metal. Both have seen better days but that just adds a little more character. Security is at a premium. The wooden door is padlocked but I'm sure if you were to blow hard enough it would just fall apart while the metal door seems to be secured by that all time classic, a row of concrete blocks. Still, seems to do the trick!
The yard opens out directly onto a roundabout so having finally being able to get an autofocus lock as a car passed by I put the lens on manual and took some shots as more followed suit.
N.B. a wee bit of artistic license was taken in the titling tonight. I can't honestly admit to knowing that it was a definitely a silvery car that lit the scene, but then again, there was nobody around to prove it wasn't either!
Wow. Turned out I rambled on about that a lot more than I expected to!
"Happy" word of the day is chipper, so I do hope everyone is chipper tonight!
;- )
Tomorrow is Friday... thank goodness!
