Thornycroft Torpedo Boat Shed

This is a shed where they built Torpedo Boats during WW2.

It is a sombre and run down building now but must have been incredible to watch a Torpedo Boat actually being launched here

The doors are actually wooden fan fold and are Grade 2 listed to prevent the building being converted into a Professional Footballers house

The decay works well with the autumnal state of the surrounding trees.

It is an extremely quiet place with only the sounds of the bird life that now live there
