Grey street

I really, really like Grey Street in Newcastle, and totally agree with the radio 4 listeners who voted it 'most attractive street in Britain'.
However, clearly the city council do not agree, otherwise why did they put such a horrid white modern lamp on such a gorgeous building??? Daft it is.

(I also object to the 'for sale' sign too but I understand the problems of making bespoke signage!)
