Tiger Moth

I did a quick search on t'internet and I believe this is the Tiger Moth (Amata nigriceps) Apparently it gets it's name from the orange and black striped abdomen. I took this when I got home in between fundraising events and the visit to the nursing home and I did not get a chance to take any other shots today. It was raining at the time and this poor thing was hanging on to the birdsnest fern frond for grim death in the wind. There were quite a few out of focus shots.

I am happy to report - shock, horror - I actually saw blue sky this afternoon and - drum roll - a bit of a sunset. Looking good for tomorrow. Hope you all had a good day.
