Beech leaves

They will not hush, the leaves a-flutter round me, the beech leaves old.

Very windy today, but still fairly mild. (Big contrast to this time last year, when leaves were frozen in thick ice on the pond.) These beech leaves stay put throughout the winter, looking almost metallic.

First thing I saw when I got up this morning were two buzzards stomping around the field behind us. Their markings were so similar, they looked like twins. (Here's the one I blipped a couple of days ago.)

I'm so excited: I've just ordered a Blipfoto calendar with some of my favourites from my first year of blipping. Can't wait to see it and enjoy it throughout 2012.
