Bury St Edmunds Eighth Annual Christmas Fayre

We thought we would try and get into the Festive Spirit today and give the Christmas Fayre a look. Managed to get around some of the stalls but the place was thronging with visitors (heaven knows how many coach loads of people arrived) all queuing up for food and toilets but the entertainment side was superb. The Victorian costumes were very impressive too! There were so many great things going on which we couldn't possibly fit into this collage but below is an account of the 3 days events if you are interested in reading about it.

"Bury St Edmunds Christmas Fayre has non-stop entertainment for three days with many different groups, schools and charities performing.

The Christmas Fayre is now famous for its entertainment. With two stages, children's entertainment and street entertainers there is something for everyone.

The Greene King stage will host three days of music ranging from traditional jazz to modern day rock.

The Cathedral will offer 'Shopper's Carol Services' on Friday and Saturday at 2pm and 3pm and a 'Living Nativity' can be found in the Cathedral Courtyard. Santa will be in his grotto in the Abbey Gardens and watch out for many different street artists, choirs and other surprises.

The second stage is the RWS Fm stage inn Charter Square in the Arc Shopping Centre. A great selection of choirs, schools and groups from all around West Suffolk".
