On Moredun Top

This is the edge of an Iron Age fort on Moncreiffe Hill.

L and I live just a couple of miles away and do a lot of walking, but we've never been to Moncreiffe Hill before. I think when we moved to Perth, over 20 years ago, there was limited access and we never added it to our list of places to go. Since then the hill has been taken over by the Woodland Trust, and a network of paths marked.

It's a delight; great woodland, super views, and not one but two Iron Age forts! I'm sure it will become a favourite for a bad weather walk close to home.
